Module 4 · Presenting value online

Lesson 3
Participation, questions and next steps
Online audiences disengage quickly when they only listen. Plan interaction every few minutes: a direct question, a quick poll, an invitation to mark priorities on a shared screen, or a pause to ask what they think so far.
Use names and refer to earlier comments: "Sofia, this connects to the delay you mentioned — does it match your experience?" Stop sharing your screen during discussion so people see each other rather than a slide.
Welcome questions and treat objections as useful information. Listen fully, acknowledge the concern, ask a clarifying question if needed, and answer briefly and honestly. If you do not know, say so and commit to a specific follow-up.
End with the decision, not with "Any questions?". Summarise what the customer said matters, the options discussed and a recommended next step, then agree actions with owners and dates. Send the slides with a short written summary afterwards so they can be shared internally.
